OÖ-Open 2010 - Postponed

Итак, короткие австрийские соревнования отменены из-за плохого прогноза (точнее перенесены на 13-16 мая, как раз когда у нас Женский Мир).
Эх, жаль, там правда красиво.
So, Open Upper Austrian Championship was canceled (to be precise, it was postponed to 13-16th of May, when we will fly in Tegelberg in Women World Championship).
Pity, I like that place, it is really beautiful there.

Направляемся в Грайфенбург! Как минимум один день хорошей погоды должны застать!
Ok, heading for Greifenburg! We are going to catch at least one day of nice flyable weather!

В Австрии все в цвету, обалденно красиво. А запах... И замки вокруг, замки. Австрия - это как попасть в сказку. Если, конечно, в сказке иногда бывает жутко холодно и дождливо:)
Everything blooms in Austria in this time of year, amazingly beautiful. Scent of the flowers everywhere... mmm... And castles everywhere around... Romantic... Austria is like a diving into a fairy tale story... If, of course, it is possible to have some really cold and rainy days in a fairy tale:)

Но! Погода налаживается и мы в пути на первые короткие австрийские соревнования - OÖ-Open в месте с совершенно невыговариваемым названием:)
But! The weather conditions become better and better and we are heading for my first short Austrian competition - OÖ-Open in Windischgarten.

А это апргрейд моей путешествовательной сумки:) Сделано Женькиными руками. Это я пожаловалась однажды, что моя сумка такая простая и черная, что я ее когда-нибудь потеряю.
And this is an upgrade of my travel bag:) Hand made by my friend Zhenya. Once I was complaining to her that my bag is so black and ordinary that I will lose it one day.

Гы, теперь я не боюсь ее потерять, теперь надо следить, чтобы ее кто-нить не спёр:)
Now I'm not afraid of losing it. Now I'm worried somebody will steal it someday soon:)

...во Флориде уже полным ходом идет соревновательный сезон:)

Вот он экзотический Флорида Ридж, все зеленое, а пальмы и бассейны в пяти метрах от старта:)

Here is the exotic Florida Ridge, where everything is so green, with palm trees and a swimming pool five meters from launch:)

Хотя пилотам, наверное, было особо не до бассейна - и без того весь озерный юг Флориды после прошедших перед соревнованиями дождей превратился в большое такое болото. Как сказала Юлька, сухих посадок нет, надо долетать до финиша:)

Though the pilots were probably not that interested in the swimming pool: too much water all around. Southern Florida is always full of lakes, but this time after all the rain it turned out to be almost one huge swamp. As Julia said, one couldn't find a dry landing field on the course and so had to make goal!

Но это никак не помешало разыграть хорошие соревнования с пятью тасками и 33 пилотами (результаты).

It looks like the competition turned out to be really good with five tasks and 33 pilots competing (results).

Trofeo Montegrappa 2010

С 1 по 5 апреля в МонтеГраппе (Бассано, Италия, юг Альп) проходили соревнования, на которых я не была (иногда надо все-таки работать:)), но за которыми с интересом следила:) 85 дельтиков - видно, народ соскучился по полетам:) От русских там была только Юлька, которая периодически писала репорты почти как с фронта: как там дико холодно спать по ночам в палатке и как мокро иногда летать. В итоге было разыграно два таска.

From the 1st to the 5th of April there was a competition in Bassano del Grappa (Italy, South Alps). I didn't take part there (sometimes I need to work:)), but I was following what's going on there:). Eighty-five hangglider pilots - looks like everybody really misses flying:). There was only one Russian pilot there - Julia, who had been writing the reports almost like from a front line: about how it is cold during the night in a tent and how it is wet to fly there sometimes. There were only two taskable days.

Человек, сделавший это фото, пишет, что в Амазонии черепахи, завидев людей, тут же пускаются наутёк. А эта вот убегать не стала – не решилась спугнуть бабочек.

The person who took this picture writes that when the Amazonian turtles see the people, they immediately run away. But this one didn't run away - didn't want to startle the butterflies:)
