East Coast Championship, day 1

Первый день East Coast.
Мне обещали, что тут можно будет летать без перчаток и без теплой кофты, потому что погода низкая и слабая, всегда тепло:)
НЕ обманули:)
The first day of East Coast Championship.
They promised me I could fly here without gloves and warm clothes because the ceilings are always low, the thermals are weak, and I'll always stay warm:)
They didn't lie:)

Таск 57 км. По ветру.

Когда старт был открыт и многие сделали по 2-3 попытки улететь, даже такой короткий таск показался очень оптимистичным:)

When launch opened and many pilots needed 2-3 attempts to merely stay up, even that short task looked very optimistic:)

My take off into the blue sky

Несмотря на слабую погоду мне тут понравилось. В сильную погоду каждый может летать, а вот в такую - надо тоже уметь и кайф ловить, и до финиша долетать. У меня пока не очень получилось. Меньше часа полет и около 20 км. И я была, возможно, слишком relaxed:) Весь полет от 200 до 600 м над землей, крутишь, крутишь, крутишь. И все равно хорошо было:)
Despite the stable weather, I like this place. Anyone can fly when weather is strong, but with this kind of weather you should be able to both enjoy your flight and make goal, something I haven't achieved yet. My flight was less than 1 hour long and was only about 20 km. I was probably too relaxed:) The whole flight long I was between 200 and 600 meters, just circling, circling, circling. Even so it was good:)

Да, пара слов о том, где я.
Это полуостров на восточном берегу США, недалеко от Вашингтона. Штат Maryland, городок Ridgely. Чтобы попасть из аэропорта Балтимора на полуостров, надо проехать по мосту длиной 7 километров:)


And a couple words about where I am.
I'm in Ridgely, Maryland, on a peninsula on the east cost of the States. When you drive here from the mainland, you pass over a 7 km long bridge:)
